New York’s Mid-Hudson region has entered Phase 4 of reopening.

We will continue to maintain safe practices to prevent any potential spread of Coronavirus. I’ll bring a camera to take a group photo but you can probably stand a little closer than last week if you, and the people around you, feel comfortable.

This August, be Part of the Sunday Runs team in the Run Like a Wolf 100 Mile Challenge

The Wolf Conservation Center in Lewisboro is challenging YOU to get outside, wherever you are, to complete 100 miles of running, walking, or hiking during the month of August in the Run Like a Wolf 100 Mile Challenge. Not only will you receive an awesome gift when you sign up, but if you complete the challenge, you’ll be awarded a custom wooden award featuring the WCC’s fierce Ambassador wolf Alawa.

We’ve created the Sunday Runs team so you will receive $10 off your registration fee. On Saturday, August 8, at 5:30, 7:30 a.m., and 9:30 a.m., meet at the Depew Court lot at Blue Mountain and run the Fifth Annual Blue-Per Bowl run. Starting at 5:30 a.m., make one 7.5 mile loop and a second starting at 7:30 a.m. Join in for one or both loops or finish a third loop and enter the Blue-Per hall of fame. Finish a fourth loop and you'll become the undisputed Blue-Per Master and be regaled in stories and song. Who’s game?! Kevin Rader will be on hand to make sure you find your way. I'm in for at least the 7:30 loop.

Meadow to Armstrong

On Sunday, August 9, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Meadow lot ready to run the Meadow to Armstrong course. This 7-mile course starts in the reservation, then crosses over to Richard’s Preserve and Armstrong before returning back. The entire course is 7 miles but if you want to cut it short, the looped portion is about 5. And if you’re looking for something longer, well, feel free to improvise. Early birds can arrive at 6:00 or 7:00 for an extra 8 and 4 miles respectively. See the map ››

Rookie Runners arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a shorter loop at an easier pace in time to return by 8:00.
