Over the past 10 years\, the event has raised funds to help research that supports JDRF’s mission—to cure\, treat and prevent Type 1 diabetes (T1D). The event draws people from the tri-state area bringing participants together for a worthy cause! \nThis is your moment to fundraise and help turn type one into type none! DESCRIPTION:Race director (and multi-time winner of the Loop) Gerry Sullivan says anyone can race on a weekend. The toughest do it on a weekday. Anyone can relax and rewind after a day of work but how about a nice trail run on a gorgeous (hopefully) summer evening? Sounds good? Then join us at Bowdoin Park for the Bowdoin Buswhack five-ish miles of hills and dales\, rocks and roots\, grass and dirt touring all over the expanse of Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls\, New York. \nRace Hub: Pavilion 2\nStart/Finish on soccer field at bottom of park.\nPrizes are delicious cupcakes from Sweetbakes Cafe in nearby Poughkeepsie\, with the Overall Champs also getting a nesting doll from the legendary pink house on 9D! Some proceeds and all donations will go to the Keep It Moving organization\, helping young people to focus their energy in positive ways as the grow into the future of our world. We will also have a collection box at the Race Hub Pavilion for non-perishable foods and dry goods to be donated to our local food pantry at the Church of St. Mary in Wappingers Falls. \nRace capped at 150 hardy souls.
