DESCRIPTION:Are you looking to amp up your running? Add hill repeats and speed work on Wednesdays at 5:30 a.m. This week\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Kimberly Bridge Lot\, at 5:30 a.m.\, for 90 minutes of Hill Repeats. At a 13% average incline\, the Blue Hill segment is one of the steepest in the Rez and the perfect training ground for any upcoming race. The .6 mile uphill contains just over 400 feet of vertical gain while the downhill is a great quad-shredding exercise. If you need to train with poles\, this is a good course to do so. We’ll aim for 4 or 5 repeats and see what we have left after that.

DESCRIPTION:Note: Details for this run may change.On Saturday\, July 13\, at 8:00 a.m.\, meet at the 14\,000-acre Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park\, at the Dennytown Road/Appalachian Trail Parking Lot (Dennytown Rd\, Putnam Valley\, NY 10579) for a preview of the Fabulous Fahnestock Trail Race. This 10 mile course will follow the 50k and 25k routes including passing through the Sunken Mine area of Aid Station 2 which will be manned by Sunday Runs this year. You don’t need to be registered for the event to enjoy the mix of trails. Travel time is about an hour from us so we can meet at the Woods Bridge Lot in Katonah at 7:00 and share rides. Please be prepared to be self-sufficient for 3 hours. \n If you’re looking to stay closer to home\, I’d suggest grab your own map and run the 7.5 mile course on the classic Michigan Zig-Zag map starting at 7:00. Early Risers can meet at Michigan Road and start at 6:00. \n\n\n\nFor more details\, check out the Strava event page and sign up there to give us a better idea of numbers. SUMMARY:Brew to Brews
DESCRIPTION:This Saturday\, June 29\, at 7:00 a.m.\, meet at Tazza Café\, 408 Main St\, Ridgefield\, CT\, and prepare to run the 11 mile Brew to Brews run through Devil’s Den and Saugatuck. Options include the full 11 miles and an abbreviated 6 mile version. \n7:00 to 7:30 a.m. Get Some Fresh Brewed\nMeet at Tazza Café\, 408 Main St\, Ridgefield\, CT\, and have a cup of coffee before the run.  \n7:30 to 8:00 a.m.\nWe’ll drop a car at the finish (1086 Black Rock Turnpike\, Easton\, CT)\, and proceed to the start of the run at Devil’s Den Preserve (3 Pent Rd\, Weston\, CT) arriving around 8:00 to 8:15 a.m. We’ll be running an 11-ish mile point-to-point run from Devil’s Den through the Saugatuck trail to the waiting car. Once done\, we’ll retrieve the cars at Devil’s Den. If you’re not up for the full distance\, you have an option of dropping a car at Glen Road\, about halfway through the run\, and catch a ride to the start with the group that dropped the car off. By the time we’ve retrieved the cars and changed\, we’ll be ready to head over to Nod Hill Brewery for a couple of beers and food from their food trucks. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, June 22\, at 7:00 a.m. meet for a special run in the Catskills—the Slide Mountain/Burroughs Range Loop. This 14.5 mile loop offers 5\,000 feet of elevation gain and crosses Slide Mountain (the highest peak in the Catskill range)\, Cornell\, and Whittenberg. Meet at the Woods Bridge commuter lot in Katonah at 5:00 a.m. for the 2-hour drive to the start or you can meet at the Slide Mountain West Trail Head\, 2027 Oliverea Rd\, Phoenicia\, NY 12464 (see Google Maps ››) at 7:00 a.m. We will make a counterclockwise loop starting shortly after 7:00 a.m. and finishing in the afternoon. Bring plenty of water\, a filter if you have one\, money\, and a change of clothes so we can stop at the Phoenicia Diner afterward and eat all the foods.
