DESCRIPTION:This Friday\, November 24\, at 7:00 a.m\, meet at the Zofnass Family Preserve on Upper Shad Road in Pound Ridge (see Google Map) when we run everyone’s favorite labyrinthian preserve with a network of trails noted for its crags and rock outcrops. Meet at the main entrance and we’ll follow a perimeter loop making all right turns except for exiting the park. We’ll make a 6-mile loop counter-clockwise around the preserve excluding the orange\, western loop. The course passes by the spot where the Leatherman’s Loop begins. Options include the full 10 miles and an abbreviated 6 mile version. \n7:00 to 7:30 a.m. Get Some Fresh Brewed\nMeet at Tazza Café\, 408 Main St\, Ridgefield\, CT\, and have a cup of coffee before the run.  \nRun starting at 8:00 a.m.\nWe’ll head over to Bennett’s Pond lot on Bennett’s Farm Road in and start running at 8:00 a.m. Headlamps not required.  \nGet Some Brews\nWe’ll finish around 10:30 and can head over to Brick House Wood Fired Pizza on Route 7 or the Hideaway in Ridgefield for food and drink. SUMMARY:Michigan 4x8 Challenge
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, October 29\, at 8:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Michigan Road Lot\, ready to run the Michigan 4×8 Challenge. The entire Challenge starts at 5:00 a.m. but you can start whenever you want\, including 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. This course consists of a series of 4-mile (approximate) clockwise loops in the Rez that can be completed within an hour. At 5:00 a.m.\, we’ll start with the magenta loop\, then work our way in a clockwise pattern hitting the purple and then green loops. At 8:00\, we’ll start with yellow\, then blue\, orange and so on\, using our cars as aid stations between loops. Total distance would be just over 50k but you can stop whenever you want. Cobweb Crew starts the first loop at 5:00; Early Risers join in at 7:00. \nRookie Runners start at 7:00 for a shorter distance and easier pace. \n\nPrint Map

Driving time is approximately 75 minutes and parking at the East Trapps lot is $15 per person. The foliage should be peak so this should be a spectacular day. DESCRIPTION:On Indigenous Peoples Day\, Monday\, October 9\, at 7:00 a.m.\, meet at Michigan Road Lot to test yourself and find out who’s going to get the crown on one clockwise loop of Red. It’s simple. 5.32 miles. The current course record is 40:13 set by Tom Curley although the competition for the leaderboard is fierce. No cost to enter. No flags on the course. No prize money. Just bragging rights if you’re able to take the crown.\n \nWhile there will be bragging rights for who finishes first on the day\, the real test is who claims the top of the Leaderboard so watch Strava afterward as runners post their runs. SUMMARY:KMA to Hunt-Parker
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 7\, at 7:00 a.m.\, meet at Reservoir Road in Katonah\, behind the Katonah Museum of Art\, ready to run the KMA to Hunt-Parker 7-mile course. This run starts on dirt roads\, crosses the Cross River Dam\, and heads over to Hunt-Parker Preserve—home of the Bedford Audubon Society—with various trails including single-track and open field running. This time\, we’ll actually follow the map (which hasn’t always been the case).
