DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, December 5\, at 7:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Trailside Museum Lot\, ready to run a special no-map-required course—the Raven Recovery Run. There are still some of Rob’s ravens from the Raven 100 out and about in the Rez. I have their locations and on Saturday\, we’re going to make a special run to collect as many as we can find. The course we follow will take us to up FH to Pell Hill then down toward Raven Rocks and finally the climb back up Blue past the fire tower. Conditions are going to be very rainy so dress accordingly for this unique run.

While the full course is 12 miles\, you have some options. You can start from the old oak tree and head in either direction. Head east and run the Loop course first. Head west and run the Raven Rocks course first. Before completing the course\, take a turn onto the course you haven’t completed. Not up for 12 miles? No worries. Complete either the Loop or Raven Rocks course and head home. Note: the second loop water crossing is not on the map\, no one has been through the mud flats since early spring\, and you have the option of taking the dry loop as marked. SUMMARY:Blue Moon Trail
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 24\, at 7:00 a.m.\,  meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Michigan Road lot\, when we run the Blue Moon trail. This course was created in the 1980s by Dave Cope as the 6 mile loop on the map. It includes a seldom-used bushwhack below the Leatherman’s Cave that’s a trail on the old maps.
