DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 3\, at 7:30 a.m. (note the new time)\, meet at the East Trapps Trailhead in Mohonk Preserve (3213 US-44\, Gardiner\, NY 12525) ready to run a 10.5 mile loop courtesy of Jon Birdsall. He’s arranged for a number of guest passes at the lot so we can enjoy the trails on the preserve (not the Mountain House itself). Fall foliage should be beautiful so bring a camera since we’ll be headed to the tower. Since we need a rough count for the guest passes\, please email me and let me know before end-of-day Thursday if you’re interested. This should be a unique event you won’t want to miss. DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, October 11\, at 8:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Kimberly Bridge Lot\, ready to run the Boutonville Oak Multidistance run. This run starts off with a visit to the Boutonville Oak (see the NY Times article reference) then heads west on Brown to the Meadow and Michigan Road. From there\, you’ll have options from 6 to 8.5 miles. Early risers can start at 5:00 or 7:00. SUMMARY:Trailside to Town Park
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, October 18\, at 8:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Trailside Nature Museum\, ready to run the Trailside to Town Park Loop. The northern trails in the Rez haven’t gotten much love from us lately so let’s remedy that with this loop that includes various distances including the two longest that take a detour to Lewisboro Town Park in the northern part of the park. SUMMARY:Blue Moon Trail
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 24\, at 7:00 a.m.\,  meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Michigan Road lot\, when we run the Blue Moon trail. This course was created in the 1980s by Dave Cope as the 6 mile loop on the map. It includes a seldom-used bushwhack below the Leatherman’s Cave that’s a trail on the old maps.
