DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, January 4\, at 7:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Michigan Road Lot\, ready to run the Michigan 4×8 Challenge. The entire Challenge starts at 6:00 a.m. but you can start whenever you want\, including 7:00 a.m.\, and run as far as you’d like. This course consists of a series of 4-mile (approximate) clockwise loops in the Rez that can be completed within an hour. At 6:00 a.m.\, we’ll start with the green loop\, then work our way in a clockwise pattern hitting the yellow and then blue loops next. Total distance would be just over 50k so if you’re looking for distance\, this is a great run for you. Early Risers start at 6:00 for the green loop. \n\nPrint Map

SUMMARY:Red/Rock Trail Loop
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, January 26\, at 8:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Michigan Road Lot\, when we run the Red/Rock Trail Loop. We’ll run this in a counterclockwise direction as marked and runners have the opportunity to run distances from 4 to 8.5 miles and make make a slight variation that we haven’t made in a Blue Moon. Cobweb Crew starts at 5:00 a.m.; Early Risers at 7:00. \nRookie Runners start at 7:00 for a shorter distance and easier pace. \n\nPrint Map Download the PDF\n \nThough this was the run last Saturday\, the last time we ran this course on a Sunday was June 16\, 2024

Add hill repeats and speed work on Wednesdays at 5:30 a.m. This week\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Trailside Museum Lot\, at 5:30 a.m.\, for 90 minutes of Hill Repeats. At a 10% average incline\, the FH to Lean-to 7 segment (Happy Ending on Strava—don’t ask!) is less steep than Blue but also less technical. Considering all of the leaves right now\, you’ll get a good working but are less inclined to turn an ankle.
