DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, January 28\, at 8:00 a.m.\, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation\, Kimberly Bridge Lot\, ready to run the Kimberly Expedition. This course offers two loops—first head north and complete a 2.7-mile loop\, then once back at Kimberly Bridge\, choose one of three distances for the southern loop. Note that I’ve indicated a bushwhack from Red/Yellow that takes you to the base of a steep wall where there is a kind of “cave”. Not suggesting you take this\, though\, and you can continue on the Red/Yellow trail. Cobweb Crew starts at 5:00; Early Risers at 7:00. The .6 mile uphill contains just over 400 feet of vertical gain while the downhill is a great quad-shredding exercise. If you need to train with poles\, this is a good course to do so. We’ll aim for 4 or 5 repeats and see what we have left after that.
