SUMMARY:Mini Loop Challenge
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, December 4\, at 5:00\, 7:00\, or 8:00 a.m\, please join us for a Mini Loop Challenge in appreciation of Sunday Runs and its Cartographer in Residence\, Lee Willett! \nAs many of you know\, Lee has volunteered for years to create routes for the Leathermen Harriers\, answer questions\, welcome newcomers\, provide maps\, and coordinate adventures. His dedication and generosity has shaped many of our lives. \nWhile Sunday Runs is free and open to all\, its operation requires ink cartridges\, paper\, lean-to rentals\, and food at key events throughout the year. Keeping the weekly runs free and accessible is a top priority\, but costs add up! We created this event to fundraise for hard costs so that Sunday Runs can focus on building this amazing community. \nThe Mini Loop Challenge plays out as follows\n\nThe course consists of 1.8 mile loops based out of lean-to 11\, with each runner determining the number of loops they want to run and in which direction. We hope that this run will be as interactive as possible. Park at the overflow lot past Kimberly Bridge\, or the Kimberly lot if the overflow lot is full. We’ll stage a festive\, holiday-esque aid station out of the lean-to and we encourage everyone to bring a change of clothes so they can hang by the fire post-run! The Aid Station will be set up early for the Cobweb Crew which will start at 5:00 a.m. as usual. \nDifferent ways to contribute\n\nContribute via PayPal: make a suggested donation of $35 to give@sundayruns.org. Donate here ››\nContribute via Venmo: make a suggested donation of $35 to @Lee-Willett. (Click for scan code: )\nContribute via Cash: make a donation on-site in the form of cash. Any amount is useful and appreciated. \nBe a Runner or Sponsor \nRun the course: Runners can compete for the maximum number of loops to see who runs the most in the day. The one who does gets bragging rights for the winner of the Mini Loop Challenge. \nBe a Sponsor/Get Sponsored: Sponsor any runner or get sponsors to pay $1.00-$2.00 per loop completed by the runner. We’ll have a whiteboard recording the number of loops throughout the day and will post a final tally here afterward. \nPersonal Challenge: Choose a runner or make a “side bet” with another runner for a more personal challenge with proceeds going to the cause. Compete for speed or distance in either direction\, for example. \nWe will be tracking total loops overall for each runner plus watching Strava to see who claims the crown for the MLC Clockwise\, MLC Counterclockwise\, MLC Double CCW/CW Loop\, and MLC Double CW/CCW Loop segments. Have fun. \nPlease feel no obligation to contribute. The goal is to continue in the fun easy-going spirit of Sunday Runs. We will not be publishing how much individual participants contribute. Any amount is useful and appreciated! \nOh\, and don’t forget to dress in your Sunday best orange!\nVeronica & Peeter \n\nPrint Map Download the PDF GPX File
