On Sunday, May 25, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road Lot, ready to run the Michigan 4×8 Challenge. The entire Challenge starts at 5:00 a.m. but you can start whenever you want, including 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and run as far as you’d like. This course consists of a series of 4-mile (approximate) clockwise loops in the Rez that can be completed within an hour. At 5:00 a.m., we’ll start with the green loop on the map, then work our way in a clockwise pattern hitting the yellow and then blue loops next. The 8:00 run will start with the orange loop and can continue to the gray loop for up to 8 miles. The total distance for all loops is just over 50k so if you’re looking for a long training run, this is a great one since you’ll have access to your own personal aid station for each loop. Cobweb Crew starts at 5:00 on the green loop; Early Risers start at 7:00 on the blue loop.
Rookie Runners start at 7:00 for an easier pace and shorter distance.
Last time we ran this course was January 4, 2025
