WINTER RUNNING

Occasionally I get asked if we run in the winter. The answer is, “Absolutely.” And we have some pretty interesting stories to tell on the subject. But aside from those stories, there are some useful tips gleaned from various sources that will make your winter running more enjoyable.

JOING OUR MAILING LIST

The Leatherman Harriers Sunday Runners Group offers weekly trail runs in parks and preserves in Northern Westchester, New York, and surrounding areas. While most of our runs occur in the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, we’ll also run at Muscoot Farm, Westmoreland Preserve and other trails in Westchester, Putnam, and Fairfield Counties. Meeting on Sundays at 8:00 a.m., our runs average 5 to 8 miles with some choosing to extend their runs longer. Whether you’re a novice or an expert trail runner, a tortoise or a hare, you’ll find a friend to run with while enjoying the great outdoors.
