SUNDAY: MICHIGAN ROAD
On Sunday, February 9, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road Lot ready to run a new course that I’m calling Michigan Zig-Zags. Options include 8, 6.5, and 5 mile distances or get lost and see how many miles you can do. The challenge to this course is the weaving back-and-forth between adjacent trails so stay sharp with regard to turns. Early risers can start at 5:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. but bring your own maps since I won’t be with you this weekend. Rookie Runners start at 7:00 a.m. as well. See the map here ››
SATURDAY: LEWISBORO TOWN PARK
On Saturday, February 8, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Lewisboro Town Park, upper lot, when we navigate the 9.6 mile Kessel Run. This relatively flat course is a little longer than most but avoids steep uphills in favor of rolling hills throughout. Since this is an out-and-back, there are plenty of ways to shorten the course if necessary. Also, we’ll be keeping an eye on the bridges as we pass—word has it that the first will be delivered this week. See the map here ››
NIGHT RUN SATURDAY, 5:00 P.M.
On Saturday, February 8, at 5:00 p.m., grab your headlamp and meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Lean-to 5 (at Michigan Road), ready to run a special winter night run sponsored by Ridgefield Running Company. You’ll be following the Michigan/Overlook/Raven Rocks course which will give you some great views. After the run, bring food and drink and sit around the fire enjoying the excellent company of fellow trail runners. I won’t be joining you on this run so bring your own maps—download the PDF here ››
Have fun out there this weekend.

I counted 54 out this Sunday for the annual Looper Bowl and a number of new-to-the-trails Rookies. Welcome all. I look forward to sharing many more miles with you. The Looper Bowl ball has been found. Runner Tom Curley came across the finish line with that in hand. Thanks, Tom for keeping that tradition alive.
