December 15, Kessel Run

SUNDAY, LEWISBORO TOWN PARK

On Sunday, December 15, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Lewisboro Town Park, upper lot, when navigate the 9.6 mile Kessel Run. With less than a week to go before the release of the next Star Wars movie, it seems appropriate we run a special out-and-back segment that starts at Lewisboro Town Park and ends at Gilmore Pond on the southern end of the Rez. Peeter “Millennium Falcon” Muursepp holds the record of less than 12 parcecs and the force is strong with Veronica “Rey” Leeds as well. If you’re not up for the full run, turn around at any point. SATURDAY, MICHIGAN ROAD LOT

On Saturday, December 14, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road Lot and help flag next Sunday’s Run. Since there are multiple bushwhacks on this run, I’ll need to lightly flag the course so that you can find your way. Total distance will be around 8 miles. If you’d like to give me a hand, meet me at 7:00 a.m. Or just show up at 7:00 and make your own course. That’s fine too.
