New York’s Mid-Hudson region has entered Phase 4 of reopening.
We will continue to maintain safe practices to prevent any potential spread of Coronavirus. I’ll bring a camera to take a group photo but you can probably stand a little closer than last week if you, and the people around you, feel comfortable.
- Maintain social distancing before, during, and after the run
- Run abreast where possible to keep out of each other’s slipstreams
- Stagger start times, courses, and directions to maintain smaller groups
- Wear masks or buffs/neck gaiters when in the parking lots and when you see others on the trail even if they don’t do the same.

Trailside to Joe

On Saturday, October 17, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Trailside Museum lot, when we run the Trailside to Joe 7 mile loop. Those who’ve run with me for a while know that once fall hits, I’m more inclined to do some exploring in the parks. For this run, We’ll head over to Joe’s Hill on the Western part of the Rez and find some lost trails that used to be on maps of the Rez but have been lost to time. Some of these bushwhacks are on December's Dancing Rock Run so if you're looking to learn about that run, join me.

On Sunday, October 18, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Trailside Nature Museum, ready to run the Trailside to Town Park Loop. The northern trails in the Rez haven't gotten much love from us lately so let's remedy that with this loop that includes various distances including the two longest that take a detour to Lewisboro Town Park in the northern part of the park. Early risers can arrive at 5:00 or 7:00 a.m. for some headlamp work and extra miles.
Rookie Runners arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a shorter loop at an easier pace in time to return by 8:00.
