This Sunday, November 3 at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Meadow parking lot when we run a new version of an old favorite—the Fire Tower Summit Run. This 6.2 mile version will seem familiar to most but I’ve rerouted us down the red trail at intersection 33 rather than the “ankle breaker” section of of the RT trail near Indian Rock Shelter. But before you get all weepy and think that this is a cakewalk, don’t worry, the downhill between 48 and 58 will keep you on your toes, not to mention the climb up to the Fire Tower Summit which is always, ahem, fun. And remember, daylight savings time ends so SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK before the run.
And after the run, you’ll want to hang around when we celebrate Tony Godino’s birthday with cupcakes and whatever Judy has up her sleeve. We’ll make a party of it. Please let us know if you’re coming by submitting the form below, thanks.
Next week we’ll be at Michigan Road to run the Michigan to Kimberly Bridge course.
I hope to see you out there.
