Dear Sunday running group,
I really appreciate all the donations that you gave and I will do the best that I can for that. I really enjoy running with the group. While I am in Texas I will be thinking of you guys and the training you guys have helped me with by inviting me to the runs on Sunday morning.
— Eamonn Pre Sullivan
The Sunday family,
I have been searching for ways to express my gratitude and appreciation for what you guys have done. You have brought a new appreciation of running and friendship that I never expected. This group is something special, not despite of, but rather because of the different perspectives and personalities of the group.
Seeing how supportive everyone is of each other is the greatest gift of the group. And being a recipient of that support is an honor and humbling at the same time. But it goes beyond the practical support of the donations. Your acceptance and support of Eamonn is simply a joy to see. From the first step, Eamonn was treated as one of the group. He has often commented how much he loves running with the group. One observation he had was how we can bust each other’s chops and no one gets upset or bothered. (F@$& you Mark Vincent). I hope that this note can convey how truly touched and grateful I am. Without the help and powerful spirit of the Sunday Runners, Eamonn’s journey would not have been possible.
I wish I could personally reach out to everyone. With that not being possible, I will simply say, thank you. Thank you for the generosity, the spirit everyone brings, and the wonderment at how so many smart people have so much trouble reading maps.
Peace
Gerry
