Westmoreland and the Rock Trail

Sunday, Michigan Road Lot

On Sunday, January 12, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Michigan Road Lot when we run a perennial classic—the Rock Trail. We haven’t been there as a group in a while so let’s check out one of the Reservation’s more challenging trails and visit Dancing Rock, Indian Rock Shelter, Bear Rock Petroglyph, Castle Rock, Spy Rock, Raven Rocks, and many more rocks in between. Looking to start early? Arrive at 5:00 or 7:00 for some additional loops.

Saturday, Westmoreland Sanctuary

Saturday, January 11, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Westmoreland Sanctuary on Chestnut Ridge Road in Mount Kisco when we run the 5.25 mile perimeter loop. This time, we run the course in a clockwise direction (against the arrows) and return to the main lot. Those who want an extra challenge can do the Butler loop across the street after the run. That will add another 3 to 5 miles depending on your course.
