SUNDAY: RUN THE FARM
This Sunday, October 20, at 9:30 a.m, meet at Muscoot Farm (51 NY-100, Katonah) for the Run the Farm Trail Race. If you haven’t run this one before, it’s a 5 mile race on the wooded trails of Muscoot Farm in Somers/Katonah. With the kids race, farm bucks, farmer’s market, and live music, this is a great morning for the whole family. You can download a map of the five-mile course here.
8:30 a.m. Kids’ Race (7 to 12-year-olds)
8:45 a.m. Kids’ Race 2 (6 and under)
9:30 a.m. 5 Mile Race

SATURDAY: KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL
On Saturday, October 19, at 7:00 a.m., meet at John F. Kennedy High School on Route 138 in Somers (54 NY-138, Somers, park in the Northen lot), when we run the Kennedy to Reis Park/Angle Fly Preserve. We’ll run from the trailhead of the Kennedy Trail, cut through to Somers High School, then make our way to Reis Park. I’ve outlined a 7.3 mile run but you have the option of continuing on to Angle Fly and turn this into a half marathon. I don’t have a PDF map for this, but I do have .kml and .gpx files if you want to see what I’m thinking.
Looks like a small but definitely stylish crew last weekend judging by their orange transportation choice. I feel right at home. Congratulations to everyone who ran races or just came out for fun.
Hope to see you out there this weekend,
Lee Willett
