On Sunday, June 5, at 9:45 a.m., don’t miss out on the annual “A Mild Sprain” Trail Run (5 mile run/3 mile walk/hike) on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Sprain Ridge Park, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. “A Mild Sprain” is one of Westchester’s largest grassroots fundraisers. Over the past 9 years, the event has raised more than $880,000 to help fund research that supports JDRF’s mission, to cure, treat and prevent Type 1 diabetes (T1D). The event draws people from the tri-state area bringing participants together for a worthy cause!
This is your moment to fundraise and help turn type one into type none! Know that every step, every participant, and every dollar brings us closer to our finish line—a world without T1D. All net proceeds go to JDRF whose mission is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Not racing? Then on Sunday at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Meadow Lot, and run the Meadow Northern Loop. Options include 5.5, 6.5, and 8-mile loops. Cobweb Crew starts at 5:00 a.m.; Early Risers at 7:00. Since the Mild Sprain doesn’t start until 9:45, you can get a warmup in early then drive to the race. What could be better than that?
