On Saturday, August 17, at 6:30 a.m., meet at 75 Mountain Laurel Lane, Cold Spring, NY, at Fahnestock State Park, and run one of the Fabulous Fahnestock Trail Race distances—50k, 25k, or 5.5m. You will climb up long hills, run past lakes and ponds, enjoy flowy descents on some of the best single track the area has to offer, then meander along old dirt roads and abandoned rail beds. Choose a distance that works best for you! Generous Cut Offs and Multiple full service aid stations are all meant to ensure your success! Relax post-race pond side with fellow trail runners and experience the true taste of the trail running community and local organic fare.
6:30: 50k start; 7:00: 25k start; 7:30: 5.5mi start.
Not looking to race? Then come join us as Sunday Runs hosts aid station #2—Sunken Mine. We’ll be manning the site from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 and then will head over to the finish to watch our friends finish the race. Park at the Sunken Mine trailhead and hike the 2 miles in or catch a ride with us at 7:00. Do not drive to the aid station directly! There is no parking. If you are available to work part time, please let me know and we can take shifts.
Want to stay closer to home? Meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road lot, at 7:00 a.m. and run the “Red Plus” loop. It’s just like Red plus a bit more. But bring your own maps, I’ll be at Fahnestock.
