New York’s Mid-Hudson region has entered Phase 4 of reopening.
We will continue to maintain safe practices to prevent any potential spread of Coronavirus. I’ll bring a camera to take a group photo but you can probably stand a little closer than last week if you, and the people around you, feel comfortable.
- Maintain social distancing before, during, and after the run
- Run abreast where possible to keep out of each other’s slipstreams
- Stagger start times, courses, and directions to maintain smaller groups
- Wear masks or buffs/neck gaiters when in the parking lots and when you see others on the trail even if they don’t do the same.
Hope to see you out there this weekend.

Red All Over
September 5, 2020 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 amPound Ridge, NY 10576 United States + Google Map
On Saturday, September 5, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road Lot, ready to run the Red Trail. Since the Pound Ridge 50k is only a day away, I'm sure a number of you will be resting today but I'll offer this anyway. The Red trail loop forms two of the four loops of the 50k so if you want to get familiar with the course, come and check it out. I'll be there but may cut it short to be ready for Sunday.

On Sunday, September 6, at 5:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road Lot, ready to run the first ever Pound Ridge 50k. Runners will make four loops—a 12 mile perimeter loop starting at 5:00, an 8 1/2 mile loop starting at 8:00, and two 5 1/2 mile loops of the Red trail. You'll be returning to your cars between loops which will be your aid stations—bring what you need to complete the run since this is a self-supported 50k. Not up for the full distance, arrive at 8:00 a.m. and complete the 8 1/2 mile loop and continue as far as you want. There's no t-shirt, no swag, but no cost for this do-it-yourself ultra. Good luck.

Kessel Run
September 7, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 amCross River, NY 10590 United States + Google Map
On Monday, September 7, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Lewisboro Town Park, upper lot, when we navigate the 9.6 mile Kessel Run. This special out-and-back segment starts at Lewisboro Town Park and ends at Gilmore Pond on the southern end of the Rez. Peeter “Millennium Falcon” Muursepp holds the record of less than 12 parsecs but let's see if there's a hotshot in the group that can challenge. If you’re not up for the full run, turn around at any point.
