New York’s Mid-Hudson region has entered Phase 4 of reopening.
We will continue to maintain safe practices to prevent any potential spread of Coronavirus. I’ll bring a camera to take a group photo but you can probably stand a little closer than last week if you, and the people around you, feel comfortable.
- Maintain social distancing before, during, and after the run
- Run abreast where possible to keep out of each other’s slipstreams
- Stagger start times, courses, and directions to maintain smaller groups
- Wear masks or buffs/neck gaiters when in the parking lots and when you see others on the trail even if they don’t do the same.
Hope to see you out there this weekend.

Michigan to Clark
September 12, 2020 @ 7:00 amPound Ridge, NY 10576 United States + Google Map
On Saturday, September 12, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road Lot, ready to run the Michigan to Clark course. This 7.5 out-and-back takes us out of the Rez to the adjoining Clark preserve on the southern part of the park. If we're lucky, we'll get Billy McArthur out on Saturday to show us some other BRLA trails to take back. I couldn't possibly find those.

September 13, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 amRidgefield, CT 06877 United States + Google Map
On Sunday, September 13, 8:00 a.m., run Where the Pavement Ends, a fun and challenging 4-plus miles of sometimes narrow, sometimes hilly, always beautiful trails. It is a great mix of fire road, single track, flats, hills, and one fast downhill section right towards the end. Park at the Ridgebury School, Ridgefield, CT and walk over the Serfilippi Field, ready to run at 8:00 a.m. Registration for the virtual race is not required but consider it anyway. Looking for a longer run? Make it a double. Continue on the trail instead of heading to the finish and make a second loop for a 7+ mile run. Those looking to start early can arrive at 6:00 a.m. with their headlamps and test the trail in the dark or arrive at 7:00 a.m. for an additional loop. The course is marked with flags but you might want to bring a map of the course.
Rookie Runners start at 7:00 for a shorter distance at an easier pace.
