On Sunday, September 3, at 5:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road Lot, ready to run the Pound Ridge 50k. Runners will make four loops—a 12 mile perimeter loop starting at 5:00, an 8 1/2 mile loop starting at 8:00, and two 5 1/2 mile loops of the Red trail. You’ll be returning to your cars between loops which will be your aid stations—bring what you need to complete the run since this is a self-supported 50k.
Not up for the full distance? Arrive at 7:00 and start with the 4.5 mile loop. Then start at 8:00 a.m. and complete the 8.5, 6.5, or 5.5 mile loop (see map at bottom). There’s no t-shirt, no swag, but no cost for this do-it-yourself ultra. Good luck.
Rookie Runners start at 7:00 for a shorter distance and easier pace.
