This Sunday, October 14, at 8:00 a.m, meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Michigan Road Parking lot to run The FH to Overlook Loop. Start at the Michigan Road lot and head up Fox Hill then turn south. I’ve put a number of twists and turns on lesser-used trails so keep a sharp eye out and a map handy. See the map ›› Anyone interested in getting some additional miles in can arrive at 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. for pre-run loops.
SATURDAY
On Saturday, October 13, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Meadow Lot and run one of the Meadow to Overlook Loop. Your choice of 6 or 8 miles but with the bridge out, if you’re going to run the 8-mile option, cross the river at the first bridge and follow Br by the river to Kimberly Bridge. Bring a map though, I won’t be at this run. There are a couple great races on Saturday as well so check out the calendar to learn more about those.
See you next Sunday at Run the Farm. If you haven’t registered yet, time is running out.
On Sunday, June 18, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Michigan Road Lot ready to run the Michigan to Spy Rock 7 Mile Loop, or as I like to call it, The Stairmaster. This course starts up the FH trail and heads over the Magic Stairs before turning south past Castle Rock and up The Stairs to Spy Rock. Early birds can start at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 and I suggest making it a speed workout by trying to complete the 5+ mile Red loop on hour intervals. I’ll be out this weekend but will make sure Peeter has some maps on hand, you know, just in case.See the map here ››
On Saturday, June 17, 7:00 a.m., anyone looking for some distance work can meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Meadow Lot. Choose your direction—clockwise or counterclockwise—and run. The full course is just over 12 miles but you can make it longer or shorter as needed. See the map here ››
This Sunday, March 12, at 8:00 a.m, meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Trailside Museum when we run the Trailside, CB, to Blue route. This 7-mile course starts with a bit of an uphill (that’s being kind) but once you head down the CB trail within the first mile, you can catch your breath and enjoy yourself. There might be another hill or two along the way but nothing to worry about. The course follows a new trail that has been marked with temporary flags starting in the woods behind the Michigan Road residence and ending at the Old Mill. By the time you reach the blue trail, you’ll remember what makes that one of our favorites in the park. If you’re not feeling the love of the full distance, you can cut a couple miles from the run. See the map here ››
If you’re looking for an early start, arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a pre-run loop. Early birds can start at 6:00 a.m. but bring a headlamp and set your clock ahead.
On Saturday, March 11, 5:00 a.m., come out to the Michigan Road Lot to run a 5-mile loop course on the Red trail. Run as many as you’d like up to six for a distance of 50K. Keep a drop bag in your car, bring hot coffee, pancakes, whatever you need. If you don’t want to start at 5:00, since each loop will take about an hour (the red course is one of the faster trails), start at 6:00, 7:00 or 8:00 instead. If you’re training for the North Face Endurance Challenge, this is a great opportunity to get some miles in.
Great to see so many out on this bone-chilling morning for the Dancing Rocks Run. Yeah, I know, if it seems like it was a little hilly, that’s only because you went up the major climbs in the park so there’s that.
This Sunday, February 19, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation when we run a classic course—The Red/Rock Loop. The snow on the southern trails is well compacted and relatively stable so the running there is as good as it gets this time of year. I haven’t been on the Rock Trail but the Red/Green and Red trails are fine. You might want to hold off and save the Rock Trail portion for another, warmer day. Your call. Early birds can start at 7:00 a.m. Insomniacs at 6:00 a.m. but bring headlamps. It’s still dark then.
On Saturday, February 18, the NJ Trail Series is having their annual Febapple race in Maplewood, NJ, with distances from 50M to 10M. But if you’d like to stay closer to home, I suggest meeting at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Meadow Lot at 8:00 a.m. and check out any of the open trails. The weather should be beautiful.
Great job everyone who came out for the Raven Lunatic on Sunday. Awesome run all. And kudos to the 8 runners that showed up for the Blueathlon on Saturday. It’s because of your hard work up and down blue that we were all able to enjoy that section of today’s course.
This Sunday, January 8, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we follow the Michigan to Kimberly Bridge course. Michigan Road is our traditional starting point for runs in the southern portion of the reservation but this time we’ll run North from the lot to the Meadow, follow some of the Leatherman’s Loop course trail to Kimberly Bridge, then “up” the blue trail and return by way of yellow. There are some hills on this course particularly around mile 4. You have been warned. Anyone interested in getting a few more miles in can arrive at 7:00 a.m. for an early start. Trail Map here ››
On Saturday, January 7, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Michigan Road Lot for a special 15-mile(ish) perimeter loop. The course will be determined on the fly but will look something like this course(only starting at Michigan Road instead). If you’re not up for the full 15 miles, start with the group at 7:00 and return to Michigan Road from Kimberly Bridge for a run of about 7 miles.
On Sunday, December 4, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot and run some of the southern trails on the Michigan Red/Rock loop. We’ll start at Michigan Road and take some of the wider paths to the Rock Trail where the course narrows and the hills begin. We’ll go up the stairs to Spy Rock then up more to the overlook before returning to Michigan Road on a nice downhill finish. Lots of hills on this great run and some options to shorten or lengthen the run as well. Those looking to do some extra miles can arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a 4 mile loop.
This Sunday, November 6, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Zofnass Family Preserve in Pound Ridge (259 Upper Shad Road, see Google Map) when we run everyone’s favorite labyrinthian preserve with a network of trails noted for its crags and rock outcrops. Meet at the main entrance and follow a 6-mile perimeter loop counterclockwise making all right turns except for exiting the park, and excluding the orange, western loop. See the map page here. Those looking to start early can arrive at 7:00 a.m. which should give us enough time to run the Southern and Central Roundabout loops.
Looking for a longer run on Sunday? Mianus River Gorge is 2.8 miles away on mostly dirt roads. Exit Zofnass at the northern loop onto S. Bedford Road and head west for up to a total of 16 miles of running bliss. See the map here ››
Night Run!!
Friday, November 4, 7:00, meet at the Michigan Road lean-to #5 at 7:00 p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. start. We’ll be running Rob’s Run, a 6.5 mile loop with several options of making it shorter if you want. Anyone who wants to join the fun but doesn’t want to run can tend the fire while we’re out on the trail—that would be very helpful. Bring a headlamp, a change of warm clothes, and some refreshments so you can, you know, rehydrate after the run. Plan to spend some time around the campfire after the run. And bring a few dollars to share the cost of the rental—final cost will be determined based on the number of people that show.
This Sunday, June 5, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Zofnass Family Preserve in Pound Ridge (259 Upper Shad Road, see Google Map) when we run everyone’s favorite labyrinthian preserve with a network of trails noted for its crags and rock outcrops. Meet at the main entrance and follow a 6-mile perimeter loop making all right turns except for exiting the park, and excluding the orange, western loop. See the map page here. Those looking to start early can arrive at 7:00 a.m. which should give us enough time to run the Southern and Central Roundabout loops.
Anyone looking to run Saturday, June 4, at 8:00 a.m., I recommend starting from the Michigan Road lot and running one of the Gerrython courses—up to 13 miles of awesome. There are also a couple of races this Saturday as well—Rockwood Ramble 10k and Phoenicia Ridge Half Marathon—so you have plenty of activities to choose from.
This Sunday, May 1, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we follow the Michigan to Kimberly Bridge course. PDF of the trail is available here ››
Great job at the Leatherman’s Loop last weekend everyone. And good luck to everyone running the North Face Endurance Challenge this weekend. At last count, there are 20 Sunday Runners that are entered into the various distances. For anyone who wants to, come out on Sunday for a short loop to loosen up at 8:00 and then head out for brunch at Blind Charlie’s in Pound Ridge at 9:15 for a post-race recap.
And save the date Sunday, May 15, for a special run at Storm King Art Center that Tony and Nick Ohnell are working on. Date is subject to change and details are in flux but this will happen so be prepared.
On Sunday, March 27, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot and run some of the southern trails on the Red/Rock loop. We haven’t seen the Rock Trail since Fall so this is a chance to enjoy some of the more challenging trails in the park. Options include loops of 5, 6, and 7 miles (your mileage may vary). Those looking to do some extra miles can arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a 3 to 4 mile loop. See the map here ››
On Saturday, March 26, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the north end of the Harriman State Park Anthony Wayne parking lot when we run some of the trails at Bear Mountain. Groups can run from here to the NFEC finish and then back for a 14-mile run and anyone who wants to extend the run can head out on some of the NFEC course after a stop at the cars. Those coming up from the area can meet at the Katonah Woodsbridge parking lot at 7:00 a.m. and either caravan or carpool up. I’ve posted some very useful files for anyone interested in this run. You’re welcome.

Great to see so many out last week at Leonard Park.
This Sunday, February 21, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we follow the Michigan to Kimberly Bridge course. Those looking for an early start can arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a few extra miles. PDF of the trail is available here ››
Next week we’ll change up the scenery a bit and meet at Bennett’s Pond in Ridgefield.
This Sunday, January 17, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge reservation Michigan Road Lot when we run Rob’s Run—6.5 miles of trails in the southern portion of the park that take us past the overlook, Leatherman’s Cave, Bear Rock Petroglyph, and Dancing Rock. Optional cutoff at intersection 34 will take a mile off the distance. If you want to get an early start, arrive at 7:00 a.m. and run north to the Meadow and return via Schoolhouse Road in time for the group start. Those looking to add extra miles after the run have some options including access to Honey Hollow Road and Upper Hook. See the map page ››
On Monday, January 18, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the parking lot on the yellow trail (see map) inside Angle Fly Preserve in Somers. We’ll run south making a perimeter loop of Angle Fly in a clockwise direction. To get to Angle Fly Preserve, take Route 35 to Route 100 North. At approximately 1/4 mile, turn left onto Route 139. and follow for 1.5 miles to Angle Fly Preserve on your left Saturday’s run in the preserve was awesome so you’re going to love this one. See the trail map here ››
And don’t forget Saturday night’s Trail Mix Awards Ceremony and Post-Holiday Party. RSVP to the invite, sign up for the potluck, bring something to drink and an inexpensive/fun gift to exchange. We’ve gotten a good response so far so it looks like we’re going to have a great party.
This Sunday, November 29, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we run a course devised by Eleanor Heppner Hershey and aptly named Eleanor’s Escape. This route combines the best of the Yellow, Red, Blue, and Green trails and includes wide-open paths and single-track hills. Optional photo op at Raven Rocks before heading back by way of Red and Green. I know you’re going to love this one. Anyone interested in getting an early start can arrive at 7:00 a.m. for some bonus miles. See Eleanor’s Escape map here ››
Friday, November 27, 8:30 a.m. Anyone interested in a post-Thanksgiving run can meet at Mianus River Gorge at 8:30 a.m. for a 5-mile out-and-back run. Since the Gorge will be closing November 30, this will be the last chance to run there this year.
Saturday, November 28, 8:00 a.m. Meet at the parking lot of Leon Levy Preserve in South Salem—just south of Rt. 35 on Rt. 123—and be prepared to run a 5.25 mile course that winds through most of the trails in the preserve. Sure, the map is hard to follow but the trails are marked so what’s the worst that can happen, right? See the map here ››
EXCITING HARRIER NEWS:
Eamonn Sullivan, our youngest regular Sunday Runner, qualified for the 3rd year in a row for the Junior Nationals Cross Country competition.Congratulations to Eamonn on this exceptional accomplishment.
This year the national meet is in Albuquerque, NM on December 12th. New Mexico is a long way away. Gerry is taking Eamonn — but as you might guess, this trip can be very expensive. In addition to missing work, expenses include paying for both airfares, several days of hotel bookings, and meals while traveling. Gerry has never asked for help — but in the past few years we have passed the hat at our Sunday Runs holiday party. All of you runners have been generous with support. Unfortunately, we won’t be having the holiday party until after the new year comes. So this year we are going to pass the hat at the next few group runs then pass everything on to Gerry before he and Eamonn make the trek west. Thanks to everyone.
Next week we’ll be off the reservation at Sylvan Glen with the option of creating a team to take on the Taconic Road Runners in their Cross Country Relay. Gerry, Eamonn, Todd, Virgil, Keith, Tom, Joe…anyone interested in forming a winning three-person Leatherman Harriers team?
This Sunday, October 18, at 8:00 a.m, meet at the Lewisboro Town Park Upper Lot when we run a new course that includes a new trail in the Reservation—The Town Park to Covered Bridge Loop. We’ll all start out together and head toward the Meadow and up the FH trail but from there, you’ll have options for different distances. Three of the four options will take you down the new CB trail to the new covered bridge. If you run the 7.3 or 8.6 loop, when you get to the private residence on Michigan, keep to your left and take the path around the house. The 8.6 mile option takes you to a couple smaller trails that we haven’t been on in a while so pay attention to the turns. Anyone interested in getting an early start can arrive at 7:00 for a short loop. Temperatures look like they’re going to be chilly so break out the warmer gear for this one. Download a PDF map of the course ››
Next week we’ll be back at Muscoot for Run The Farm. You won’t want to miss that. Run The Farm, Sunday, October 25 Raven Rocks Run, Sunday, November 15
This Sunday, July 5, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Michigan Road lot and run the Rock Trail 6.5 mile loop. This course starts out easy enough with the Red/Yellow trail while you make your way to Raven Rocks. From there, proceed on the Rock Trail (RT) past Castle Rock, the aptly-named Stairs, Spy Rock, Bear Rock, Dancing Rock, and lots and lots of other rocks along the way. Lots of elevation changes on this course so you’re going to have a great run. See the map ››
Those looking to start early can arrive at 7:00 a.m. which should give you enough time to run to the Meadow, through the field to Schoolhouse Road, and return to Michigan Road in time for the 8:00 start. But bring a map, I don’t think I’ll make the early run this week.
And anyone looking to run Saturday, July 4, at 8:00 a.m. can meet at Westmoreland Sanctuary and run the 5.25 mile perimeter loop. If you want a longer run, cross the street to Butler and run some of the trails there.
And if you REALLY want to start your weekend off early, join us on Friday, July 3, at 8:00 a.m. at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Meadow Lot and run the Meadow to Overlook 6.3 mile loop. This is a perennial favorite to start the weekend.
This Sunday, June 7, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Nature Conservancy Butler Sanctuary on Chestnut Ridge Road in Mt. Kisco (see in Google maps) when we run a new combination of trails covering most of the park. Since Butler is a relatively small preserve, we’ll be running most of the trails there to get close to 5 miles. Don’t worry, you’ll still get a workout since the terrain has a lot of ups and downs. Meet in the Butler parking lot. See the map here ››
Looking to start early? Arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a pre-run loop.
Saturday, June 6, 8:00 a.m.
For anyone looking for a Saturday run, meet in the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation at the Michigan Road parking lot and run the Michigan to Kimberly 6 mile loop.
This Sunday, May 31, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road parking lot when we run the Sights and Heights Loop. On this 7.5 mile route, you’ll see two great sights—from the Overlook to the west and Raven Rocks to the south—then it’s up to the heights—the fire tower and highest point in the park. If you’re not up for the full 7.5 miles, then see the sights and head back to the parking lot via the red trail for an abbreviated run. See the map here ›› Looking to start early? Arrive at 7:00 a.m. for a pre-run loop.
This Sunday, May 3, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge reservation Michigan Road Lot when we run Rob’s Run—six miles of trails in the southern portion of the park that take us past the overlook, Leatherman’s Cave, Bear Rock Petroglyph, and Dancing Rock. Optional cutoff at intersection 34 will take a mile off the distance if you’re not feeling the love. Anyone looking to add some miles can arrive at 7:00 and run north to the Meadow and return via Schoolhouse Road in time for the group but bring your own maps—a few in the group will be running at Bear Mountain on Saturday though I’ll do my best to make it out on Sunday. See the map page ››
Next weekend we have two runs scheduled. Saturday, May 9, we’ll be running a course check of A Mild Sprain and on Sunday, May 10 (Mother’s Day), we’ll be meeting at Mountain Lakes Park and run some of those trails that we haven’t seen in a while.
On Sunday, January 11, at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge reservation Michigan Road Lot when we run Rob’s Recovery Run—six miles of trails in the southern portion of the park that take us past the overlook, Leatherman’s Cave, Bear Rock Petroglyph, and Dancing Rock. Optional cutoff at intersection 34 will take a mile off the distance. Anyone looking to add some miles can arrive at 7:15 and run north to the Meadow and return via Schoolhouse Road in time for the group. See the map page ››
Sunday, January 11, at 8:45 a.m. For those interested in checking out Bear Mountain, the Trail and Ultra Runners Meetup is having a walk up/run down Bear Mountain. Meet at the Bear Mountain Skating Rink by 8:45am (seems like they start collecting parking fees starting at 9am) and spend at least 2 hours out on the trail. Remember to bring water/wind-proof jacket, it’s colder there than in the NYC area. We’ll hike up the mountain and jog down, easy pace (if you’re in shape). Learn more here ›› | Hard run on Saturday ›› | See Google Map ›› | Want to car pool?
Saturday, January 10, 9:00 a.m. Anyone looking for some long slow distance? Meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Meadow Lot at 9:00 a.m. for up to 18 miles of LSD. No formal map for this run but runners will make approximate 6 mile loops back to the cars so if you’re not up for 18, you have options of 12 and 6 as well.
This Saturday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m., Eric Foxhall will lead runners on a run in his own backyard in Blue Mountain Reservation. Blue Mountain Reservation is a 1,538-acre park in the northwest section of Westchester County. It features miles of trails for mountain biking, strolling and nature study, and offers challenging hikes to the tops of two large peaks, Mt. Spitzenberg and Blue Mountain. The 5.5-ish mile loop will take you to the top of Blue Mountain and on some of the more challenging single track in the park. Meet at the parking lot indicated on the map at 10:00 a.m. for this unique run. See the map ››
This Sunday, December 21, at 8:00 a.m., we have a special holiday-themed run—get ready for the Red and Green loop. Meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot and head south on the Red/Green trail making a loop that includes the Red trail, the Green trail and a few other trails as well just to keep it interesting. At 760 feet elevation change, this 6.5 mile course is one of my flatter ones so there’s no excuse not to get out and have some fun. As usual, those looking for a shorter run can find creative ways to reduce the mileage. And those looking to get a few extra miles in can meet early for a 7:15 a.m. start.
Also, save the date of Friday, January 2, 7:00 p.m., for a night run in the reservation. We’re working on securing a lean-to for the evening and if it’s a clear night, we’ll have nearly a full moon to give us some extra light. I’ll post more details as they develop.
Sunday, October 5*new start times*
This Sunday, meet at Ward Pound Ridge Michigan Road Lot when we run the most ambitious run we’ve made to date—the Michigan Road Gerrython. Gerry Sullivan has lent his considerable expertise in creating a 13-mile loop that includes some of the toughest trails in the Reservation. But because the Lewisboro Horseman’s Association has scheduled a meet at the Meadow lot, I’ve had to modify that course somewhat but the result is just as epic. Here are your options:
6:45 a.m. Start—10 Mile Loop
Joe and Heather are going to start out early with the 10 mile loop in blue. They’ll start at Michigan Road and head toward the meadow before turning south to the Overlook and Raven Rocks. If you’re planning on starting early, wear bright clothing—dear season is open.
6:45 a.m. Start—5 Mile Loop
I’ll be at Michigan Road to run the 5-mile loop in red on the map. We’ll start the same way as above but return after the Overlook. I’ll be leaving promptly at 6:45 so that I’ll be back before 8:00 so arrive early prepared to run.
8:00 a.m. Start—7 or 13 Mile Loop
At 8:00, we’ll all start the same direction toward the Meadow but follow the course through the field to avoid the horses. Those running the 13-mile course will follow Brown to FH while those running the shorter loop will follow the river to Kimberly Bridge. Since the two courses overlap, you may see other runners along the way depending on speed.
Next week we’ll be at Muscoot Farm for the only course check of the Run the Farm race.
This Sunday, June 8 at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road parking lot when we run a new combination of trails I’m calling Sights and Heights. See the map here ››
Saturday, June 7, at 8:00 a.m. Meet at the entrance to Zofnass Family Preserve on the Bedford/Greenwich border. Bring your own map located here. If you miss this, don’t worry, We’ll be back at Zofness on Sunday, June 15.
Upcoming:
Wednesday, June 18: Summer Solstice Run 14k, Minnewaska State Park, Gardiner NY
Sunday, June 22: Mountain Lakes 15k. An extended Sunday Run for the summer solstice. Details to come.
This Sunday, May 4 at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we run a new variation of the Rock Trail Loop. This version starts on the Red/Yellow trail before we catch the RT at intersection 20. You’ll get a chance to run the new trail between 40 and 58 which replaces the “ankle-breaker” trail which is now closed. The RT trail is well marked so follow the signs and you’ll stay on course. The map shows an optional detour to Dancing Rock which would add an extra half mile to bring the total to 7. Plenty of ways to shorten the course as well if you’d like.
Saturday, May 3, 8:00 a.m.
If you’re looking for a run on Saturday, meet at Mountain Lakes Park and run the Outer OS loop. Don’t worry if you miss it though, we’ll be running there soon anyway.
This Sunday, January 12 at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we follow a course from Michigan Road to Kimberly Bridge. This time, we’re going to run the course against the arrows, starting on Red-Yellow, going down the Blue slope and passing the Meadow lot before returning to Michigan Road. Make sure you save some energy in reserve for that final climb. PDF of the trail is available here ››
Next week we’ll meet at Mountain Lakes Park for another try of the Outer OS loop that will be new to most of you.
Start the new year off right with this classic run. On Sunday, January 5 at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge reservation Michigan Road Lot when we run Rob’s Recovery Run—six miles of trails in the southern portion of the park that take us past the overlook, Leatherman’s Cave, Bear Rock Petroglyph, and Dancing Rock. Optional out and back to Rob’s Ruin for those who want to add a little more distance.
Next week, we’ll be back at the Michigan Road Lot again but this time we’ll head north to Kimberly Bridge.
This Sunday, December 8 at 8:00 a.m, meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road Lot when we run a new course called the Blue Moon Trail. While it’s new to us, this is the revival of a course that Tony and Dave Cope created many years ago (although Dave denies any knowledge of being involved). We now have a map of the course with an optional 3.5 mile loop for those who don’t want to do the full course which involves some bushwhacking below lookout point and an “abandoned” trail west of there. We’ll be running the course against the arrows this time and starting off through the marsh below Michigan Road then climbing up to the Overlook. If nothing else, just show up on Sunday and follow Tony. See map ›› | Download PDF ››
A Special Note from Tony Godino to the Group
Some of you may already know that Eamonn Sullivan has qualified for and will be competing in the USATF Cross Country Junior Olympics in San Antonio Texas on December the 14th. He recently finished 2nd in an association meet qualifier and 5th in the regional qualifier. When I looked at the regional results I couldn’t help but notice that the four boys ahead of him and most of those behind him were all associated with a club while Eamonn ran “unattached”. Let’s fix that and give him (and Gerry) some support. As of today, I have $400 pledged from “anonymous” sources. If some of you would like to contribute it would be wonderful. A personal note of encouragement with your contribution would be extra special. I will be running with the group on the 8th to collect. If you can’t be there on the 8th but would still like to help out just e-mail me at acgodino@verizon.net and I will get back to you with specifics.
This Sunday, November 10 at 8:00 a.m., meet at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Michigan Road lot when we follow the Michigan to Kimberly Bridge course. Michigan Road is our traditional starting point for runs in the southern portion of the reservation but this time we’ll run North from the lot to the Meadow, follow some of the Leatherman’s Loop course trail to Kimberly Bridge, then “up” the blue trail and return by way of yellow. There might be a little bit of an incline at mile one and another at mile four so don’t hate your run director—hate the hill. PDF of the trail is available here ››
Next week we’ll change up the scenery a bit and meet at Leonard Park to run the Leonard to Butler course.
